- ➤ More than 100 community members gathered at Santa Ana Wildlife Refuge (in Alamo) on Sunday to oppose a proposed border wall that would remove wildlife protections and urged lawmakers to restore them. KRGV
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Graduate student Sam Whitehead overcame a left wrist injury in 2024 and now leads the UTRGV men's tennis team as the Southland Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Year — his confident comeback sets the stage for a strong season and a chase for a conference title. KRGV
- ➤ The RGV Vipers won their 10th home game in a tight finish on Feb. 8 as Daishen Nix scored 31 points + helped secure a 112-111 win over the Austin Spurs on Amazon Prime. They will face the Texas Legends on Thursday at Comerica Center. KRGV
