- ➤ UTRGV clinched the No. 3 seed in the Southland Conference tournament with a 74-62 win over Northwestern State on Monday night; the Vaqueros will begin tournament play on Monday, Mar. 9 at 7:30 p.m. (Koree Cotton led with 21 points.) KRGV
- ➤ UTRGV football held its first spring practice today, the first of 15 sessions scheduled over the next six weeks ahead of the April 11 spring game — head coach Travis Bush said he is optimistic as new offensive talent replaces top performers from last season. KRGV
- ➤ UTRGV women's basketball team beat Incarnate Word 72+64 on Monday night and secured the No. 4 seed in the Southland Conference tournament, earning a first-round bye. They will play today at 11 a.m. against the winner of the No. 5 vs. No. 8 matchup. KRGV
