- ➤ UTRGV completed a two-game sweep against Texas Southern, beating them 10-4 in Edinburg on Wednesday, Mar. 4. The Vaqueros overcame an early deficit with multiple runs and will host New Orleans on Friday for conference play. KRGV
- ➤ St. Joseph Academy held a send-off on Wednesday for the boys soccer team that will play San Antonio Christian today at 11:00 a.m. in Round Rock, as the Bloodhounds prepare to make their fourth appearance at the state tournament. KRGV
- ➤ McAllen High, Harlingen South and Brownsville Jubilee ended their basketball season Tuesday, March 3 after losing in the regional semifinal of the RGV playoffs (scores: 59-63, 35-63 and 62-106). KRGV
