- ➤ Police in Mission arrested a relative of the injured children after his car hit them on a sidewalk near Holland Avenue around 8:30 a.m.—he fled the scene and was later caught walking by a canal, now facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. FOX RGV
- ➤ U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers checked a truck entering from Mexico at Pharr International Bridge on March 7 and found 960 packages of methamphetamine worth over $2.4 million hidden in a shipment of Persian limes—officers seized the drugs and the truck as Homeland Security Investigations began a criminal probe.
