- ➤ Catholic Charities of the RGV changed its services to help locals as fewer people cross the border. It now supports those in need with meals, rent and utility aid — and it teamed with local groups to send supplies to flood-hit areas. MyRGV.com
- ➤ The Rio Grande Valley Hispanic Chamber is preparing to host its annual Noche De Gala at Corinthians Event Center (1516 East Expressway 83, Ste A) in Mission on Thursday, May 15th. Director of Membership and Events Armando Villarreal spoke with Channel 5 News about what guests can expect and how to get tickets. KRGV
- ➤ La Unión del Pueblo Entero will hold a town hall today in Mission to offer details on flood recovery and gather input from the community in the Rio Grande Valley. The meeting will be held at the Restoration Church (713 North Schuerbach Road) from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. KRGV

- ➤ Another Broken Egg Cafe will open its first Rio Grande Valley location in McAllen on Monday, April 21 at 7913 N. 10th St. The cafe will serve a chef-driven brunch menu from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily—three additional locations are planned for the Valley. MyRGV.com
