ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Residents in Mission and nearby counties can join the City Nature Challenge from April 24 to 28 — a citizen science event where participants photograph local plants and animals and submit observations to help build a scientific database — to document regional wildlife. MyRGV.com
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Last year, Driscoll opened the first freestanding children’s hospital to help local families get the care they needed. Future Medicaid changes could force patients to change plans, but state lawmakers have introduced SB 2388 and HB 3538 to protect local services—keeping trusted care available for children and expectant mothers.
