- ➤ Mickey and Minnie Mouse visited South Texas Health System Children’s Hospital on Tuesday to meet with patients and families in the Children’s Playroom and perform bedside visits for those with medical restrictions—preparing for Disney on ICE to open today at Payne Arena in Hidalgo. KRGV

- ➤ Voters in the Delta area will decide on Proposition 1 that would raise the tax to 10 cents per $100 valuation to fund closer ambulance services for communities like Elsa that currently face wait times up to two hours. Elsa Mayor Alonzo Perez opposes the measure over high poverty concerns while Hidalgo County Emergency Service District #2, which spent over $400,000 on new ambulances, hopes to recover its costs; early voting ends Tuesday, April 29 and the election is on May 3. - ➤ On April 22, high school baseball games ended with wins by teams such as Los Fresnos beating Harlingen 9-0, Weslaco East defeating Rivera 11-4, and Edcouch-Elsa winning 15-5 as teams wrapped up the regular season.
