- ➤ Senior golfer Kai Tamez, captain of McAllen Memorial’s Mustangs, helped secure a regional title in McAllen last week and finished second individually while his team swept the podium. He will return to State for the third straight time + he aims to lead his team to a top finish. KRGV
- ➤ Diego Lopez, the Pioneer kicker, signed his letter of intent to join Culver-Stockton College on Wednesday afternoon. He said the decision fulfilled his dream to compete in college football after earning the District 16-5A Division II Newcomer of the Year award. KRGV
