- ➤ Reid Starkey from St. Joseph Academy signed with Harding University to compete in discus on Thursday, Apr. 30. The athlete, a two-time state qualifier and three-time district champion, said he has long dreamed of playing college sports. KRGV
- ➤ Itzel De Leon, the first water polo player from the RGV, committed to Salem University on April 30 after leading the Lady Patriots to three District Championships. She earned two MVP honors and first team all district recognition in her breakthrough season. KRGV
