- ➤ Friends for Hope is hosting its 15th annual bay fishing tournament, Battle on the Bay, on June 6 at the bay to raise funds for Vannie E. Cook Jr. Children’s Cancer and Hematology Center (a local charity event). KRGV

- ➤ The City of Mission started a traffic study in the Cimarron subdivision to check crash data and clock speeds on Cimarron + Rio Grande drives amid residents’ concerns over speeding. Results will be presented to city leaders on Thursday, May 21. KRGV
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Lane Ames (STHS CEO) urged residents to donate to the KRGVCares Closet campaign to stock toys and supplies for children in local hospitals this week, with funds set to purchase toys, arts and crafts, and stuffed animals for Driscoll Children's Hospital and South Texas Health System Children's Hospital.
