- ➤ UTRGV will host its annual STEM summer camps in June for students in kindergarten through 12th grade at the Edinburg campus. The one-week sessions (June 2 through June 26) will give students hands-on training in transportation engineering and inspire interest in STEM careers. KRGV
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Driscoll Children's Hospital, which opened on May 8th last year, completed its 5,000th surgery—marking a milestone in specialized pediatric care—and affirmed its role as the only freestanding children’s hospital in the Rio Grande Valley. FOX RGV
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Abby Zamora, a senior setter at Edinburg Vela, signed to play volleyball at the University of New England in Maine on Friday afternoon—she earned district Offensive Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year honors and was named Academic All-State. KRGV
