- ➤ McHi's star forward D'Aundre Canada signed his letter of intent to play basketball at Independence Community College in Kansas (he led his team to a perfect 36-0 season and earned several awards) after overcoming a broken arm. KRGV
- ➤ The Sharyland Rattlers play Game 1 of the regional final today at 5:00 p.m. at Gregory-Portland High School against Cedar Park after wins in Games 2 and 3 following a one-run loss to Liberty Hill; players credit daily weight room work (offseason training) for their rebound. KRGV
- ➤ Harvest Christian senior point guard Jamie Gonzalez signed her letter of intent on Wednesday to join Nelson University women’s basketball team. The four-time state champion reached 3,000 career points and will play alongside her sister Ashley. KRGV
- ➤ PSJA held a pep rally for its baseball and softball teams as coaches Alyssa Garza and Marco Guajardo encouraged players ahead of the softball state semifinal and baseball regional final — boosting team spirit for historic playoff runs. KRGV
