- ➤ The Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office is offering a $5,000 reward for information on the recovery of a stolen 2000 John Deere 8400 tractor — taken from a ranch on Mile 7 Road and Texan Road in rural Mission on May 12 — and anyone with details is urged to contact the sheriff's office. KRGV
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Achieve Early High School student Cesar Castilla won a 2025 Ford Escape through the Drive Savings for Education program after his perfect attendance during the 2024—2025 school year. He was one of 11 finalists chosen out of nearly 1,000 students by Sames McAllen, Ford, and McAllen Independent School District to honor his hard work. FOX RGV

- ➤ Water pressure in Mission returned to normal after a breaker failed at the north water plant early Friday morning — the city said residents should conserve water to help keep the service steady. KRGV

- ➤ Former MLB pitcher Jaime Garcia hosted his first baseball camp in the Valley on June 06 to teach kids ages 8 to 18 baseball skills and life lessons—he provided one-on-one coaching along with Southland Conference newcomer Victor Loa. KRGV
- ➤ Today, the RGV Red Crowns prepare to face Central Texas FC in Bell County north of Austin+ they begin a road trip after a loss to San Antonio Corinthians FC and will not play at home until June 21. KRGV
