ACCIDENTS NEWS

➤ Today at 3:30 p.m., a fatal motorcycle crash occurred near the 2000 block of Griffin Parkway when a motorcycle collided with a black truck and the rider was pronounced dead at the scene—authorities are investigating the crash. FOX RGV
➤ A fire erupted this evening at Texas Boulevard Business Plaza near Ballard Street at 1601 North Texas and local firefighters quickly contained the blaze with no injuries while officials investigate its cause+ business owners remain concerned. FOX RGV

GOVERNMENT NEWS

➤ After the March floods, FEMA opened four Disaster Recovery Centers in Harlingen, Sebastian, Weslaco, and Rio Grande City to help local residents rebuild and access federal aid. The centers are open daily+ today they welcome visitors until 7 p.m.+ tomorrow they operate from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. FOX RGV

SPORTS NEWS

➤ Yesterday, the UTRGV women's basketball team announced five freshmen and three junior transfers for the 2025-26 season. The new players include Erin Maguire from Houston Christian—who scored nearly 10 points per game last season—and teammates from McLennan, Florida Southwestern State, Chaparral High, Israel, Tulsa, Orlando, and Gallup.
