- ➤ Tropical Storm Barry’s remnants drenched deep South Texas—especially in Cameron County where Brownsville, Harlingen, and McAllen broke rainfall records from a 48-hour period. Rainfall increased flash flood risks in low-lying areas while reservoir levels saw only minor gains with Amistad rising slightly and Falcon remaining flat. MyRGV.com
