The FDA approved Lipfendra — an oral cholesterol pill offering a cheaper alternative to injections — for patients at high risk of high cholesterol.
Dr. Kamesh Siv at Valley Baptist Harlingen said the pill can reduce bad cholesterol by about 60% and may improve access in the Rio Grande Valley.
