- ➤ Hidalgo County authorities partnered with Spectrum and arrested Joel Americo Garza Jr. after a months-long investigation led to the seizure of over 50 illegal modems—laptops, routers, printers and USB drives used in unauthorized sales. FOX RGV
- ➤ A man was hospitalized today after a shooting on Minnesota Road in Mission—Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office responded quickly as investigators work to determine how the incident occurred while details remain limited. FOX RGV
- ➤ Three individuals—including a minor—are in custody after a shooting in rural Mission left a 23-year-old man hospitalized and robbed during the incident; two adult men face aggravated robbery charges while the juvenile is held at the Hidalgo County Juvenile Center as the investigation continues. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ TxDOT crews are clearing drainage inlets, loading emergency trailers, and securing construction sites today to prepare the Rio Grande Valley for heavy rain and potential flooding from a tropical wave in the Bay of Campeche—its formation chance increased to 40%. KRGV
