- ➤ A new Texas law will require that public school classrooms display the 10 Commandments starting September 1 and is drawing mixed reactions in the Valley. Eleven districts outside our area sued to stop the rule after a federal judge sided with them on Thursday — some locals say it will guide students while others worry it forces a religion in schools.
