➤ On Aug. 28, 2025, sports highlights showed that the Edinburg Economedes Jaguars scored 49 to beat the Juarez-Lincoln Huskies who scored 23 plus the Brownsville Lopez Lobos and PSJA Southwest Javelinas finished with 40 and 14 points respectively while the Brownsville Porter Cowboys earned 35 points to round out Thursday's results. ➤ UTRGV will offer free shuttles from the Edinburg and Brownsville campuses for its inaugural football game on August 30—serving over 20,000 expected fans with a new Edinburg parking lot adding 1,000 free spaces. All 3,000 free student tickets have been claimed and public single-game tickets go on sale Friday. KRGV
