- ➤ The UTRGV volleyball team is 3-1 in conference play and will face two undefeated teams this week—Incarnate Word in San Antonio on Thursday and Houston Christian in Houston on Saturday. After these road games, the team will return home next Thursday to play Southeastern. KRGV
- ➤ UTRGV women's soccer team earned its second win after it beat first place Incarnate Word on Sunday afternoon in conference play. The win lifts their season record as they get ready for future games. KRGV
- ➤ UTRGV football team is using its bye week after a conference win to focus on physical recovery, recruiting—and to improve fundamental skills ahead of a tough second half of the season. The team will play its next game on October 18 against Lamar. KRGV
- ➤ Mission Veterans, Rivera and Pioneer kept their top spots after Tuesday night's volleyball wins in matches that featured Mission versus Mission Veterans, Brownsville Rivera versus Donna, and Sharyland Pioneer versus McAllen Memorial. KRGV
