- ➤ The Rick and Valley Veterans Cemetery in Mission is set for upgrade with a redesigned assembly area featuring a Texas Star and new automatic front gates to enhance safety and access, as funded by the Texans Veterans Land Board. - ➤ McAllen Memorial and McHi renew their long-standing rivalry in a district football game scheduled for Friday at 7:30 p.m. at McAllen Veterans Memorial Stadium after both teams rested during a bye week; coach Moses Patterson said he expects a close contest that will showcase McAllen’s football tradition.
