- ➤ UTRGV and UTSA signed a contract for a football game on September 5, 2026 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, marking the Vaqueros' first matchup against an FBS opponent — UTSA will pay UTRGV a $350,000 guarantee as part of the deal. KRGV
- ➤ UTRGV’s football team improved its home record to 5-0 with a 56-28 win over Incarnate Word Saturday night and will face #23 Stephen F. Austin on the road at Homer Bryce Stadium Saturday at 6:00 p.m.—starting quarterback Eddie Lee Marburger earned SLC Offensive Player of the Week by throwing seven touchdowns last week. KRGV
