- ➤ The UTRGV men's basketball team beat Southwestern Adventist 110-53 Monday night in their Edinburg home opener. Koree Cotten scored 18 points and Dane Christensen added 17 as the team began with a 13-0 run — the Vaqueros will play three road games next, including a conference match on December 3 with a return home on December 7. - ➤ On Friday, November 14, 2025, regional teams faced off in several contests—Brownsville St. Joseph Bloodhounds outscored Fort Bend Christian Eagles 26–18 while CC Veterans Memorial Eagles defeated Edinburg Vela Sabercats 31–26. Sharyland Pioneer Diamondbacks beat Edcouch-Elsa Yellowjackets 42–21 and final scores were noted with the Robstown Cotton Pickers at 38, Edinburg Economedes Jaguars at 10, Orange Grove Bulldogs at 35, and McAllen Memorial Mustangs at 35.
